[Question] How much rep can I give in a day?

Apparently I've heard from other users that there is a limit as to how many times you can rep someone in a day.
I want to know how many times that actually is because I've yet to hit the limit yet and it would make me think twice about repping foolish posts.

Edit: I know you can only rep someone once and then you have to give it out to more people before giving to said person again.
What I mean is how many people can I rep in a day.
