i understand most of it, though i can't write the kanji or anything like that.

Well i watch alot of animes so some words just stick, i know some basic words used like
- tadaima (i'm home)
- okairi (welcome back)
- Nii saan (brother) thanks to sasuke
- subarashi (magnificent)
- kuzu (scum)
- korossu (kill)

And many other words like cat, dog, run, sword, some colours etc
