[Question] How much does Luffy hate Teach?

It would seem to me from what i've seen, Luffy's mood turns into anger just by hearing his name. Let alone hearing his voice or him being present. Plus, he knows that Blackbeard is responsible for Ace's death. ​

I Would say in a 1-10 it's a 50+ simply because the Death of his brother was caused by this man.

I think Teach and Luffy have an interesting relationship, not just counting the events that led up to Ace's death.

If we look at their interaction at Jaya, they have the same ambitions and dreams.

They're enemies regardless, but ones that can understand each other....

For sure Luffy hates BB a lot because of Ace. I am going with 9 or 10. As said above, they have an interesting and unusual relationship. Like when they met at Jaya, they said the opposite things about the drinks and pies at the bar. However, they both believe in dreams and that the Pirate Era will always live.

The weird thing is how when Blackbeard was saying all these good things about dreams, Luffy was silent and just had a serious/mean look on his face. It was the first time in the anime that Luffy didn't talk to someone after they were basically being nice and encouraging him. So Luffy didn't get along with him from the start and didn't trust BB.

Zoro was quiet as well and that's when this happened in which I hope that someone can please answer this for me: what did Zoro and Luff mean when they said: "it's not he, it's they!" ? about Blackbeard in Jaya. I couldn't have been about BB's crew right cause how did Zoro and Luffy both realize something like that?

It's uncertain...what Luffy and Zoro meant really as it's really down to interpretation, some people might thinks it's BB's crew while some people think it's something more that's been hinted at. Like Marco stated Teach has a weird body structure and there is a theory of Blackbeard being a Cerberus.

I don't think Luffy hates him that much, maybe a 4 or a 5. Ace was living a pirate life and Luffy knew that. Besides if it wasn't for Ace BB would've gone for Luffy's head, he also told him in Impel Down.

Blackbeard was the first guy not to laugh at Luffy's dream on Jaya. It also was Ace who seeked the confrontation with BB. Blackbeard did something what Luffy has been doing the entire manga.

Basically Luffy and Blackbeard are the same characters but on the flip side of the evil/good spectrum, like yin and yang.

The person who Luffy hates most is probably Akainu for the cruel way of executing Ace. I think a lot of pirates could accept it better if Ace got a clean execution at the platform.

Probably 6. I think he hates Akainu for Ace's death. BB is his "rival" but i don't see Luffy truly hating him from the bottom of his heart. As someone already stated these two are alot alike. Like two sides of a coin. In my understanding Luffy dislikes him due to his methods and what he's done. If Luffy saw Akainu he'd go ape shit and launch straight at him. If he saw BB he'd probably just want to pummel him. Kinda like with Doflamingo. As the latest chapter showed Luffy can control himself when it comes down to DD. If it was Akainu in that room he would've jumped through the window and punched his face in (ofc Luffy would get roasted though).

Once BB kills Shanks, [which i think will happen, Luffy and the SH to come just after he is mortally wounded, and luffy to hold shanks in that iconic embrace as Shanks did with Luffy ] Luffy will snap and promise to kill him
