How much did Jiraiya teach Naruto?

Remember Naruto asking Jiraiya and Kakashi if they were going to teach him a new ninjutsu?

They told Naruto that the Rasengan was the ultimate shape manipulation jutsu made by the 4th Hokage, and compared to that, no other jutsu matters....

Jiraiya trained Naruto to be able to use rasengan whenever he wants. Kakashi has a limit on the number of Chidori's he can use... Naruto does not seem to have an end to the number of rasengans... THAT is a feat in itself!

Naruto didn't train to become faster, or smarter... just on expanding his chakra capacity. This also will help him to avoid using the 9-Tails. I think the idea is to make Naruto the dominant figure, vs. the 9-Tails thinking its dominant. Only way to do that is to make Naruto's chakra a lot higher.

I don't know, because...well, Naruto has been in a few fights....and he has'nt shown anything....First time he saw Oro he went 4 tailed....then he fought Kakuzu or w/e and did RS, other than that....he ain't showed nothing more than usual or acted like it. *shrug*

It's hard to say.....i don't really know.

The time gap is very interesting, in 2.5 years naruto learned...hmmm...what did he learn in terms of jutsus...

Lets see...Nothing

He simply made the "odooma rasengan" which is just a tiny bit more difficult to dodge, not really much in 2.5 years.

Why didnt Jiraiya teach him anything in terms of ninjutsu?

This is the guy who taught konan yahiko and nagato ninjutsu, and how to use elements etc.

Naruto didnt even KNOW OR UNDERSTAND elements until kakashi and yamato explained.

It appears in the 2.5 years gap Jiraiya taught naruto a nice infinite volume of sweet **** all.

He hasnt even changed his attack patterns or got better at taijutsu, he's grown up and become more efficient at his plans, but he still sucked against kakashi in the 2nd bell mission, again with just kage bunshins and tricks hes used before.



Doesn't anyone else find this odd? He's with a sannin for nearly 3 years and has learned nothing.

Apart from the boat ride and about genjutsu, and that hes useless at it and no point learning about it LOL.

i dont think so. Naruto has grown a lot for the last 3 years.

Jiraya could only teach him the jutsus fit for him since he's got the kyubi. Please note that Naruto is special among other shinobis.

WHo knows what else he taught? He was also forbidden to use that jutsu we still dont know about.

So i think Jiraya had made a great impact on Naruto based on what skilles Naruto gots now.

A teacher doesnt have to teach a student everything he knows. He can just guide him thru and believe in his capabilities. And i believe Jiraya had done that.

Its quite possible during the time skip he taught Naruto some of the basic stuff he lacked from the beginning. Like how to properly dispell Genjutsu and maybe helped him improved his Taijutsu. We haven't seen him in a full fledge battle beside the fight with orochimaru. The fight with Kakuzu really wasn't much because Kakashi and the others did some of the work.

Also since his return naruto's intelligance seemed to improve as well. But the mentioning of the word Sasuke will drive him dumb again.

Yeah thats my point, it means jiraiya taught him stuff and he decided not to use it against

1.deidara
2.Kakashi
3.Orochimaru (who was leading him to sasuke)
4.Kakuzu
5.tobi

And then suddenly naruto just uses it and has been saving it?

No, that is not naruto, not to mention all of the above ninjas are all A class-S class and naruto knows this, he might be stupid but if he has a jutsu-he uses it, even if its self damaging.

That's also my point, he didnt know about wind, yet the "new" jutsu we have been saying is cutting through things, meaning its WIND based, therefore it is not something jiraiya taught him, it is simply rasenshuiriken.

Jiraiya personally said "dont use that power" as in the 9tails power, just like yamato told him not to use that power etc etc.

he was injured when they met sasuke after fighting oro in his 4 tails state, tobi was only there for a while then left for sasuke. why would he use any of his stuff against kakashi? against kakuzu he use his frs that was all he needed he finished him quick, and against diedara he was a long range fighter unlike naruto who was a mid-range that is why kakashi used his MS. and diedara only got close to naruto when naruto almost killed him when he used the kyuubi cloak. naruto lost control to often was over taken by the kyuubi he never had a chance to do anything else except use the kyuubi. the only time he did not go kyuubi was when he fought kakuza and that was because he was showing off his new technique the frs. why was jiriaya messing with the kyuubi seal if he was not training him.

also the new jutsu is not the rasenshuriken it explodes and sends many air needles against an object. it does not cut clean in a straight line. look at the picture it was cut perfectly and the frs does not look at when he fought kakuzu it left huge holes. and jiriaya said not to use the jutsu read the chapter again before he leaves to save gaara. it is something we have not seen before probably chakra based that is why jiriaya weaken the seal.
