Why didnt Jiraiya teach him anything in terms of ninjutsu?

This is the guy who taught konan yahiko and nagato ninjutsu, and how to use elements etc.

Naruto didnt even KNOW OR UNDERSTAND elements until kakashi and yamato explained.

It appears in the 2.5 years gap Jiraiya taught naruto a nice infinite volume of sweet **** all.

He hasnt even changed his attack patterns or got better at taijutsu, he's grown up and become more efficient at his plans, but he still sucked against kakashi in the 2nd bell mission, again with just kage bunshins and tricks hes used before.

yeah, i also find this very lame. oodama rasengan and breaking genjutsu is the only thing he leanred in 2.5 years??? he's a little smarter but thats it. either naruto is holding back or jiraiya did horrible training him.

yes i agree, it seems that J-man do not teach much. but when naruto left he had very bad chackra control that has improved greatly. But also naruto severally injured J-man when under the demon fox. so that can be a reason why it look like naruto was not trained very well.

I don't agree. He is just holding back, I mean Kishi doesn't want to show his skills yet. You will see soon what he is capable of. But it won't be that much fun if Naruto shows the jutsu that Jiraiya can do or did. He might have learned most of what Jiraiya had. Let's see, but don't go to conclusions so soon. Just wait until Pain invasion ends.

Well, it's not quite clear if Naruto was taught anything other than odama rasengan in terms of ninjutsu. There's been a lot of "Remember, Naruto. Don't use THAT jutsu."

Also, J-man had his hands full with a 4-tails Naruto also, and there was a bit of experimentation with the kyuubi seal.


And Naruto learned a LOT of strategic things. He also learned how to make clones without them being noticed, etc. While I agree that Sakura and Sasuke learned much more (at this point), you have to give J-man some credit. I mean, Naruto isn't exactly the EASIEST student to teach

Both Sakura and Sasuke were extremely talented in their areas. Naruto's progress has always been through relatively slow, hard work. He goes a bit slower, but in the end he's more powerful.

he probably did but since naruto has not had a decent fight after the time skip what he learned is still a mystery. but when he fights pain he will show us. because i can not believe a person with such diverse skills like jiriaya did not teach naruto anything other than the odama rasengan. he thought nagato, yahiko, and konan for the same amount of time as he did naruto and they learned many powerful techniques. but we know he did teach him things because jiriaya did weaken the kyuubi seal to let him use more chakra for something.

Jiraiya has always been kind of like a ''Absentee trainer'' remember when Jiraiya became Naruto's Sensai after Kakashi had to leave?
He taught Naruto how to summon Gambunta, walk on water, and then left until he fought Sasuke.
As great as Jiraiya was, he was quite the slacker at times, taking Naruto's hard earned cash and going on day long binges when he was supposed to be teaching him.
So yea, I wouldn't be surprised if Naruto didn't learn an assload of stuff while training with Jiraiya, I bet Jiraiya was fooling around with hookers half the time

I dont think naruto going 4tails once stalled jiraiya for 2.5 years, that's just weird to even consider...why would it take 2.5 years for jiraiya recover from that? hell jiraiya can still teach him even if he is in bed healing.

As to naruto not showing his true strength

Wrong, naruto has no sense of control, this is obvious by him going kyubii in a matter of 40 episodes gap, naruto was enraged by deidaras taunts about gaara, and naruto explained clearly he has NO LONG RANGE ATTACK, hence why that new technique isnt "that jutsu" as he'd have used it against deidara, even if it does hurt him, he doesnt care for himself, hes always hurting himself through his own actions.

Then theres the fight against orochimaru, where he didnt use any new jutsu again.



Sorry but if naruto suddenly pulls some random ninjutsu out later and says "jiraiya taught me" thats going to be a steaming pile of shyte.

Also again with "that jutsu"

its definitely wind natured, and jiraiya never taught him elemental recomposition, as kakashi had to, and sage mode training he said "maybe now i can do it" after the regeneration statement, so its definitely not "that jutsu"

hell, personally it was mistranslated and is "that power" meaning the kyubii, hence why later in the episode he gives kakashi that seal, and mentions 4tails etc, and how it shorterns narutos lifespan.

It appears Jiraiya was obsessed with using the 9tails, and as a result never taught him anything useful.

I consider jiraiya to be very smart but he mustve had a long-term brain fart when training naruto because he helped him hardly any.

He has got slightly better at general planning and evaluating and kunai/shurikens, but to be honest, the kind of enemies narutos up against, its ninjutsu vs ninjutsu most of the time, or worse, unblockable genjutsu.

So really that training is fairly useless in many ways anyway

how would it suck if naruto pull out a new jutsu and says jiriaya though it to him during the time skip. it would show he actually trained naruto and showed him some of his skills like orochimaro should sasuke. naruto has been known to learn jutsu's very fast like the shadow clones from the forbidden scroll. he seems to be better at it then most. we really do not know what naruto has learned because he has not had a 1on1 fight. also naruto's new jutsu has nothing to do with wind he did not know wind when he got back. it is the jutsu jiriaya's warned him not to use when going to save gaara. it is probably chakra based, because jiriaya did weaken the kyuubi seal for something big.

if you read the the intro it says many things have not been confirmed. This was released towards the beggining of the year and some things may not yet have happened as it was for the entire year, however, many thing do correspond with the manga.

Yeah thats my point, it means jiraiya taught him stuff and he decided not to use it against

1.deidara
2.Kakashi
3.Orochimaru (who was leading him to sasuke)
4.Kakuzu
5.tobi

And then suddenly naruto just uses it and has been saving it?

No, that is not naruto, not to mention all of the above ninjas are all A class-S class and naruto knows this, he might be stupid but if he has a jutsu-he uses it, even if its self damaging.

That's also my point, he didnt know about wind, yet the "new" jutsu we have been saying is cutting through things, meaning its WIND based, therefore it is not something jiraiya taught him, it is simply rasenshuiriken.

Jiraiya personally said "dont use that power" as in the 9tails power, just like yamato told him not to use that power etc etc.
