How much chakra do MS jutsu cost to preform and/or maintain?

Take Susanoo for instance, does it take a lot chakra just create the skeleton Susanoo? Or does it take a lot of chakra to maintain only? What about ribcage Susanoo?

Also does Amaterasu and Kamui take proportionally less chakra to create a smaller area of affect (like finger size Amaterasu)?

Susano'o is a life force - not just chakra. It is why it cost the most of the user to keep it up and maintain especially with MS since it cause's pain.

Amaterasu makes the eye bleed, so i think it also takes much of the user to use it.

For the Uchiha it's more potency than quantity. It'll take minimal chakra for any jutsu as long as the Uchiha has got the proficiency. For Susanoo it'll take more due to it being a skeletal structure in its initial form, but it's part-spiritual and draws on chakra potency, as Sasuke's forms evolved with his chakra growing stronger, so it expends less chakra naturally.

Quite a lot. Even for elite Uchiha shinobi like Itachi or Sasuke. Not to mention, it seems using MS abilities worsen eyesight after using MS couple of times.

The equivalent chakra expensing into using a mangekyo jutsu is the same as a Boss summoning each time it is use.
Mangekyo jutsus are too powerful and they can damage top level people such as the Ohtutsuki.

I think it depends on the type of jutsu and the duration (obviously). I think a jutsu like kamui, that can activate (in some instances) almost independently rather than from conscious thought, would consume less chakra than an ability like Amaterasu, which is more like an actual jutsu rather than an independent response, would consume.

This is just my idea though, obviously its up to interpretation somewhat. Another example would be that I think casting amaterasu costs more chakra than expelling it

for kamui the amount of chakra required is directly proportional to the size of the spacetime barrier created. But even then its safe to assume that the act of activating the jutsu regardless of size is fixed. If i were to give it arbitrary numbers, it would be kamui costs at least 30 to activate regardless of size, but to warp something the size of lets say a tailed beast requires 90.

Side note: You know what's funny. Most Itachi v arguments I have im under the impression that people know he can function independent of his susanoo. Guess its not common knowledge or its assumed ALL can or no one can.

If they are Uchiha then it will be normal. But for example Kakashi, then yes it will have a lot of chakra taxing.
