I don't say FTG "needs" seal to used, but when I said bring the others is just waste a little time because he needs to make contact to others.. Not only that, but the big problem is it just give him a hard time to throw kunai and teleport, pick it up, throw his kunai and teleport, pick it up.. (Doing this rapidly) The hokages doesn't slow minato down at a point where he use FTG But they will slow down the process of throwing and picking the Kunai.

now let's assume, that both used ftg.
minato using the method you described, would obviously be the first one to arrive. now since tobirama is also using ftg, that would mean that he would be the 2nd on the battlefield, but instead he arrived at the same time as hiruzen and hashi, 2 people without any s/t tech. why is that?
from manga scans it's clear that tobiramas ftg needs preparations to be used, which means that his ftg isn't well suited for
fast long-distance travel.
it's because of this, that it makes more sense for tobirama to use shunshin instead.
as i said before, tobirama compared his jutsu with that of minatos, which means that hey both used the same tech. since tobirama used shunshin, it wouldn't make sense for him to compare his shunshin with minatos ftg.
tobirama confirming minatos use of shunshin was the truth. there is no deeper meaning.
minato without ftg is quite fast. minato saving baby naruto was also very impressive and was done with base or shunshin speed.
