People who say Itachi can't handle Minato's base speed should be ignored when Itachi was going toe to toe with Km NAruto. Itachi also had the ability to blitz Bee. Itachi has been shown to protect himself from blind sides over and over again. FTG might be instant but Minato's attacks will never be.

He kept up with a Naruto with no intent to kill, so not using Shunshin no jutsu not even once during that moment probably because he already shared his chakra into more than 20clones. That's even why his KM ran out of chakra quickly after their meeting

Minato would just need to keep FTG'ing madly to stop Itachi's onslaught of Fire jutsu's,Shuriken, Susanoo attacks, Totsuka, Amaterasu, Normal Genjutsu and much more.
Minato would have to stay on the defensive for the whole match which would eventually exhaust him. You may say that surpasses Itachi stamina-wise but it is hardly gonna wastes chakra to use basic genjutsu .

Itachi wins high difficulty.

Let's just look at this way : Minato is to Naruto what Itachi is to Sasuke.They are both characters that Naruto and Sasuke strive to surpass(Naruto already did,not sure about Sasuke).

How does that prove he has the 411 on Minato? It doesn't matter if he did anyway, Raikage knew all of his abilities yet never managed to lang a hit on Minato.

Minato also has the 411 on Itachi since he's been watching from inside naruto.

Minato Is to fast for itachi, Itachi's best attacks are his biggest weaknesses also. itachi would have a hard time dealing with the summons and waste a great amount of the little chakra he has trying to fight them off.

How does he plan on hitting Minato? Minato is known for his intelligence how would he get caught in basic genjutsu considering that Sharingan is common knowledge. You're undermining Minato intelligence and abilities....

Itachi realistically doesn't even need MS. As minato hasn't shown any ability thus far for noticing or negating genjutsu, once he's caught in one he can be captured easily as itachi's genjutsu requires no eye contact and can mimic the exact surrounding they are already in making it impossible to decipher between genjutsu and reality without dojutsu or special training.

Yes because we all know Kage level ninjas can't break simple sharingan gen jutsu right? Gen jutsu training is not part of routine training for shinobi.

You can't break a genjutsu you don't know you're in. By the time itachi lets him figure it out he's dead already.

Exactly. Why do you think he's won every fight he's been in with his only difficulty against an opponent who was immune to his genjutsu?

Think of it this way. I hope you've seen the Matrix. They subjects do not know they are in the matrix until they are released or someone tells them they are. It's the same with itachi's genjutsu. Against Deidara, Sasuke and Naruto Itachi created a genjutsu in which he recreated the surroundings. Neither Deidara or Naruto knew they were trapped and defeated until Itachi informed them. The only way sasuke knew was because of his sharingan.

Puting Naruto in a genjutsu is not a great feat. Even Kabuto was able to make him sleep with his genjutsu in part1, same genjutsu who was broken by Sakura and other elite ninjas
