I would be very very very sad. I was a fan once I'd read the chapter where he fought Gaara in the Chuunin exams. I was reading it at the Symphony on my smartphone, and the art was cool where he was jumping all around looking like a blur and bouncing off the rocks of the shattered floor. I wanted to see how it looked in the animation so I watched the episode and cracked up when he took off the weights. That's when he became awesome.

Rock Lee is my second favorite character only to Itachi. I would be sad to see him go. Itachi became my favorite when his truth was revealed of how he protected his brother no matter what. Rock Lee was my favourite ever since the realization he couldn't become a ninja. I truly felt sorry for him how all his hard work and determination wouldn't amount to anything in face of the surgery.

Rock Lee better not die, he has to realize his dream to be a powerful ninja without using ninjutsu or genjutsu.

It's kind of hard to feel sad, even with Neji come to think of it (but Neji really affected me and I don't know why), because of the Rock Lee series where no one dies and he's the star of it. lol

I would say Team Gai is more cursed than Team 7 if Lee died next, but I'm expecting more deaths.

Lee's character has been so absolutely misused that I wouldn't care anymore. And honestly that's Kishi's fault. Back during the SRA arc i would have been really sad if any of the characters between Shikamaru, Choji, Kiba, Lee, and Neji died, but now they've been ignored for so long for so many chapters that I don't even care that they exist anymore. Which is sad.
