Wow. Guess I was wrong. If that's the case then there should of been a big hole somewhere, where the last chibaku tensei was created from.

Um, actually... i don't remember either Naruto or Sasuke saying they would definitely seal Madara, which wasn't the case with Kaguya. Unlike their battle against her, they never even tried to simultaneously touch him, which was the requirement for the Sun and Moon CT, meaning that a technique of that magnitude wasn't going to happen anyway.

I'm pretty sure they just went in with the intent to weaken/kill, not seal. Even if that weren't true, i doubt a Limbo substitution would work on what is probably the strongest seal in existence.

The chibaku tensei doesn't pull everything to it, it wouldn't have pulled in the SA only the rocks beneath them. CT is a targeted attack. I dont think the death rate would have been too high, that is if any at all died.

CT in the past pulled up people and trees. Even if it was only rocks the destruction would have been greater than any earthquake(largest EQ death toll was 830,000).

^ That's too vague and could've referred to anything, and i don't see why they would need to create another Moon when a regular Rasengan would seal him.

Again, even if that was CT, it's highly unlikely Madara could just swap with a clone.

The Rasengan was only going to stun him. The limbo clone that Naruto hit was still moving to where he had to use his staffs to immobilize it. The One Tails sealing have failed against Madara before.

If they never planned on using the seals why give it to them?

By plot of Kishi, all is save, but for making it little dramatic, some lost of life will happen.
