How many of you get mad when some corrects you in "Grammar" on the Internet?
And say something about how "its only the internet". Is it also because you secretly DON'T know how to spell/speak/write correctly? You probably send 100+ text messages a day and are so used to the simple-minded fast and shortened way of spelling and speaking that when have to do your English homework or take a test, you really have to struggle at it. Though, most likely, you don't struggle at all, you just fail at it because its "too hard", right? You've tried a few times and got bad grades so why keep trying, right? Everyone else your age speaks and spells the same way, right? So why should you sound like some "over-educated" douche-bag? Right? And the people on the internet (all of whom are several years older than you), who constantly mention your bad spelling and grammar just remind you of the fact that you've tried and failed and have already accepted the fact that you are a failure at the English language, but you don't want to have to keep defending yourself so you just say its "the internet" and it doesn't matter.
Do you understand that we(the people older than you) all realize this? We were once all children who had bad spelling and grammar and didn't care. But we all, at one point or another, realized the truth, that communication is meaningless if no one can understand what you're saying. Sure people your age can figure it out, but they wont be grading you in college, and they wont be hiring you for jobs. Do you really want to be stuck with these people forever? One day you might want to move away somewhere fantastic, but no one will be able to understand you.
