In the start of the 4th shinobi world war, there were roughly 80,000 ninja fighting. We can assume that some missing nin/genin didn't fight, but i'd call that the vast majority of shinobi in the entire naruto world. Lets assume that the zetsu army reduced the shinobi population by 50% (it was said somewhere). The groups were divided (although not in equal numbers) and i know that madara wiped out an entire group lead by gaara. Then the survivors of the other groups banned together to fight with naruto. The juubi took out a large number of them with wood style etc. How many ninja do you think are actually left in the naruto world?

Roughly around the number of about 10,000 or little bit about 20,000.

The pictures gives the impression of a few hundreds, but I´m sure it´s in the thousands regardless because it´d be difficult drawing massive armies and they´ve probably been busy clearing out the remaining Juubi spawns at several fronts. Even if all regiments are assembled there, tactics would probably dictate that some be placed further back behind the lines, even if the fate of the world is at stake. And the remaining villains on the frontline are more dangerous than nukes, so just throwing themselves at either Obito or Madara would increase the death-toll by a dozen times now that Naruto is unable to buff them enough to let them withstand the power of such attacks, especially considering how Madara just won´t run out of juice and Obito just got the best fuel tank of chakra in the world.

Regardless, I´m curious about how long it will take for all Alliance member states to recover from the horrible losses this war wrought.

What if it turns out, that the shinobi alliance... is a bunch of transformed naruto clones...

Meanwhile, the real alliance is about to show up

Half of the 80,000 died against Zetsu, 7 swordsmen, etc on the first day.

1/5 of the remaining were killed by Madara. So they'd be down to 32,000 right there.

Then account for the guys that Juubi killed with his Mokuton barrage... I'd say we have roughly 20,000 left, at most.

Good reasoning and I agree.

Crazy that the Shinobi Alliance is down to only about 1/4 its original amount.
