What Genocide said, but also some food for thought—what Japan tends to label as a "season" is typically different from what most of us have been conditioned to call a "season". For Japan a true "season" of an anime may in-fact span across multiple actual seasons, whereas (at least in America, Idk about the rest of the world) a "season" of a TV show will usually coincide with a single actual season. To put it in other words, this is in-part the reason why when anime are usually released on DVD/BluRay they are released as "Part 1" and "Part 2" or something of the sort. So what you may have heard may indeed be true... for the first half of S2.

Gave up on AOT Season 2 a long time ago before it was delayed. I had all the previews and sneak peeks and I was hyped. But I got shut down.

Now, after 5 YEARS of waiting, we're finally gonna get the season. But for now, my hopes for this anime is dead just like HunterxHunter.
