What if he used Mokuton in order to subdue the Juubi's power like yamato did with Naruto. Madara is stronger so it would be possible to subdue the Juubi. Then Madara can shoot some chakra rods in Obito control him via his rinnegan into performing Rinne Tensei.

Afterwards, Madara could still suppress Juubi enough to extract it from Obito and seal it in himself.

This is the only way I see it happening and he needs to stop Hashirama because Hashi is the only one whose Mokuton could out due and stop Madara.
