well he wouldn't have swapped with obito has obito is the one with the s/t jutsu. it wouldn't make sense for him to swap with him cuz he would just be stuck in that dimension, as far as he knew anyways. it's not like he knows that it's the link to all dimensions.so if he had to, i think he would have.
