well hiatus just means that the anime has been cancelled. If the ratings were still high they wouldn't have stopped it they would have just made a filler series. But if demand is high enough they'll bring it back but there's no certainty..but i heard that another broadcasting channel wanted to do fairy tail, but i haven't seen any proof of that yet.
