How long would it take for Hidan to die?

Well in the Naruto verse how long has it been since he's gotten blown up. A few months right... If theres no edo Hidan, I say he's still alive, and that to me says he's the closest thing to immortal we'll see. After it rains he'll probably sprout from the ground like a weed. I would have loved to see a rampaging hidan on the battlefield.

I think that if kishi truely did say that it was possible for hidan to die from lack of nutrition, then he already has. It has been a long time since he was put in the ground lol. But one could argue that the process would be dramitically slowed because he is somewhat immortal, and that Hidan would sense the ugency and try to preserve his life by eating bugs and whatnot (ew)

I personally don't think he will make another appearance though. If he was going to be brought back by Kabuto or Tobi they would have already, it's not like he would make a significant diffence in the war at this point. And no one really has the time to leave the battlefield and go dig him up lol. Also shikimaru is the only one who knows where he is.
