just wondering if anyone has heard how long microsoft plan on making games for the 360.When the xbox 360 came out they still made a few games for original xbox but very quickly phased it out, have microsoft released anything about that

I'm sure they'll continue to support the current generation for a few more years. I read an article that stated that EA would continue making games for the PS3 and 360 until 2017.

Honestly, though, apart from cross generation releases, I don't really expect to see any more exceptionally popular games, although I'm sure there will be a few good ones here and there. Developers are probably going to start shifting focus to the new generation within the next 2-3 years.

Well I'm assuming about a year or 2 after the xbox one release because half the people wont transfer over right away

I give it a few months after Xbox One comes out and they will halt development on 360 games and switch full over to One games.

I for one won't be selling my 360 not for anything, any reason or anyone.

depends on the contract made with certain companies. My guess would be about 2 more years is typical. Games take about 4 years to make and let say on the 2nd year the new system comes out, then the company would most likely fulfill their agreement on making it on the system. Contract stuff

3-4 years after the release of Xbox one, probably.

They have to wait until the value of xbox one drops enough, basically when a certain amount of consumers buy the console.

Games will no longer be developed for the 360 or PS3 any longer. Infact, production specifically for PS3 and 360 games has already stopped.
Developers have already begun to develop their games specifically for next gen consoles. However, versions of new games for the PS3 and 360 will still be available for a couple years post-release.

So basically Dev's will be developing for next gen consoles, but the games will still be available on older gen consoles for atleast a couple years, however in a downgraded format.
