How Long Have You Known The Naruto Franchise?

I'm kinda curious. I've known Naruto since 5th grade back in 2005, so that makes this my 7th year now.

The reason I'm asking is because most people who are "newer" to Naruto tend to jump to conclusions, such as disliking a certain character *coughSasukecough* and thinking that they are more "adapted" to the anime," which is probably true but I think those who're more familiar with the older series can truly call themselves "Narutards" and whatnot.

I just don't like it when there's someone who jumps aboard and declares that they're the number one fan of Naruto, and maybe most of you aren't like that but there's always someone. Either you know the story or you don't.

whenever it came out on toonami btw I thought Sauske was awesome since the beginning. I was wondering when Kishi will rename the show Sasuke and Sasuke Shippuden.

My quick response to the thread's content:I've never seen someone in a post claim to be the number one fan nor the most knowledgable, time involved with it doesn't matter - I've only read it for the past year and saw the anime a few years ago on some anime thing on cartoon network but I may have a better understanding than some people who have been following it for longer.

I was introduced to it about a year and a half ago. Then I went nuts, and caught up on all of Naruto, and as far as Shippuden was at the time in a couple weeks.

I apologize if my content seemed to be full of spite and disgust, but there was this affiliation I had in the past where all these users would come out and shout out about how much they love Naruto just because it involves fighting. I don't necessarily mean that everyone new to the franchise has a misinterpretation; I'm just stating how things can get when everyone wants to join ship and "be cool."

Take Twilight for example. Back in 2008 or whatever date it was when it became popular, people started reading the book just because everyone else was. That sort of thing bugs me - you should like something because it interests you, not because someone else likes it.

I never knew about the Manga, but I started watching the Anime when it first came out.

since, I saw it on Cartoon network back in 2005, I watched the origional serise (Naruto) then after it ended I stopped watching.

In 2010 I learnt that Naruto Shippuden had come out in english so I watched it. When the dubbed episodes ended I moved onto subbed episodes then when I got up to the end of those I began to read the manga. Around the time when J-man was versing Pein.

Hmm I saw naruto for the first time like 7 years ago, my fav characters in part 1 were kakashi, gaara, sasuke, itachi and jiraiya, but I started to dislike sasuke's character like around episode 80
