How long can Itachi's susano stay active?

It's possible that he can, but using 2 MS abilities at the same time would, as you said, more than likely sap his chakra.

In his fight with sasuke he used ametarasu, tsukiyomi ,and susanoo . All while being sick . So i dont really know how long it can last . it stands to reason if the first two were not used he could sustain susanoo longer

That was Itachi from Part 1. Part 2 Itachi was able to have an all out Taijutsu / Shurikenjutsu / Ninjutsu battle with Sasuke, he was able to use Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu and then he was able to sustain Susano'o for about 3 - 5 minutes.

Well id give him around 10 min, not full but combined chakra consumption. He even with so stated 2.5 by feats sure outlasts 3 stamina of kakashi. He outlasted sasuke's 3.5 and even had chakra to fight orochimaru and put another amaterasu shot into sasuke and thas while near death sick.

I think it's based on the eyes if your losing sight then I don't think it will last long, and also how much charka the user has, but overall I think it all depends on the user and since itachi only had MS then not that long cause using it to much affects the user at a cellular level
