How locked is life?

Are we capable of eradicating the earth and everything in it? Are we able to put ourselves in a position where we have lost everything and there is no going back?

Or is there a safety net in the shape of destiny that prevents people from going too far, Can we by accident destroy our own lives and others? Or no matter what we do will life go on without us?

Actually, we are already dooming ourselves as we speak, melting of ice in Antarctica doesn't happen naturally, it's our fault why Earth is getting warmer. You would be surprised if you do a little research and see what will be our state in the coming years if we continue this bad habit.
