He's an uchiha ,so he automatically has really powerful chakra. The databook says that he only has a 2.5 in stamina, but that only relates to physical endurance not chakra. His stamina was only a 2.5 because he was sick and dying . Back to the question how large was his chakra pool?

More than kakashi

Most of you are all wrong.Itachi has 2.5 in databook he's clearly below Kakashi, he's low compared to chakra monsters like Senjus and Uzumakis. No need to find excuse, Kimimaro was more sick than him and actually he still had 4.5.

Itachi chakra pool is more than likely small since he can only make 1 shadow clone. However Itachi has perfect chakra control and thus can outlast people who have more chakra than him:

You just answered your own question. Itachi's only limited to 3 MS techniques at a time before he's too exhausted to battle so his chakra pool is one of the lowest by far.

Based on what we've seen in the manga, it hasn't been really hinted that Uchiha have large chakra pools necessarily, but I think it can be concluded that they have amongst the best chakra control, especially with eye jutsu obviously.

I would think Itachi's pool is low to average, just with excellent control

Sadly its small and weak because of his condition.

Shown to be tired after Amaterasu and Tsukyomi instantly.

Chakra utilizes physical and spiritual energy. Since Itachi lacks in stamina/ physical energy I would say his reserves are only a grade above Kakashi. Seeing how in part 1 Kisame had to support Itachi after he used Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi in the same day.

Itachi can use his tech many times because of his high level of chakra control. Chakra was not included the DBs because of this. Credit goes to T Bogard.

So in conclusion, I infer that Itachi is at a medium. But he is able to use his techs many times for the reason stated above.

Itachi had low stamina so would have low chakra amount. Kakashi used MS 3x before being bedridden before and Itachi limit was 4 and then he's dead due to disease, MS side effects and really low stamina. He had great chakra control, I'll put him over Kakashi but lower than Sasuke.

He may have really powerful chakra, but there is nothing stating that quantity wise, he has a lot of it.

In a fairly detailed explanation, Ebisu stated that chakra is converted from stamina, so it goes hand in hand.

Meaning that if Itachi in Part I had a 2.5 in stamina, then he's rather limited in the chakra department.

Here, after Itachi used Tsukuyomi on Sasuke and Amaterasu to escape Jiraiya's fire breathing stomach toad jutsu, we can see he's visibly worn out.

You could say he was faking it in order to not have to fight Jiraiya, who was a Leaf Shinobi (and thus, a member of a village that Itachi was trying to protect).

Here, after previously having had used Tsukuyomi on Sasuke, and now using Amaterasu, you can say he's visibly tired. (We can't count this TOO much either, because at this point he was known to be sick).

However, just because a jutsu is devastating doesn't mean it has to be the most chakra taxing technique ever.

Kakashi, who has a "barely average" level of chakra was able to use Chidori in Part I four times.

But is there anything stating that Chidori takes less chakra than Amaterasu? It could very well be that Amaterasu is more destructive because of a more advanced shape manipulation.

I'd say that Itachi pre-illness had a weakness of chakra.

But in the end, he had more than enough control to exercise it efficiently and also the intelligence to know WHEN to use the technique. In Part I, until we see something that tells us otherwise, we can only say that he did not have the illness.

EDIT: The guy above me more-or-less beat me to it.

But at the very least, two members agree to this.

You were wrong on the Jiraiya part, Jiraiya wasn't a leaf ninja, he left Konoha long ago and no longer had ties to it. He doesn't wear a leaf headband nor follow orders. He can choose to help them or not so Itachi not wanting to kill Konoha's strongest ninja isn't true since his head band is Hermit sage and not Konoha.

Also Itachi was always sick, even in part 1, he prolonged his life using medicine. He had low stamina which means he can only make alittle bit of chakra but his chakra control helps him not waste any.

Pretty large. I just assume MS techs take a whole buttload of chakra. He didn't have a problem with standards fire and genjutsu techs while even using shadow clones which halve your chakra.

Nah, Kakashi could use 3 MS before being bedridden while Itachi also used 3 MS to be at his limit, he can use 1 more but he'll die soon after as he did against Sasuke. Kakashi has low stamina so low chakra, Itachi is a little a head of Kakashi but not by much.

He was not marked for death.

AND the fact of the matter was he was chosen for Hokage...

The leader of the village?

The only reason that Jiraiya left was to keep tabs on Orochimaru...

And Akatsuki...

Also, not wearing a leaf headband doesn't necessarily not make you loyal to Konoha. It's just a symbol of beloning. Jiraiya's headpiece actually just says "oil".

Shizune, Nagato and Konan (despite being loyal to their villages) do not actually wear a headband either, nor does Ino.

Yeah, Shizune and Ino have one on now... But they didn't pre-dating the allied forces.

And if you look at that? The current Hokage also does not wear a headband.

He doesn't follow orders, but that is because the Third died as he came back to Konoha, and Tsunade was more of his comrade than anything.
