Lol there are people who actually want TenTen to be more than a one dimensional character? Why?
What the point in that, she is merely there to fill the role of the third member of Gai team.
And while Kishimoto-sensei didn't give focus to female characters as much as males characters for obvious reasons, I think he did a good job with:
Sakura
Ino
Tsunade
Making the Mizukage a female
Temari
Chiyo-baa-chan
And most important Kushina (which is by far one of the strongest and well written female character I have seen in anime/manga, and my personal favorite character) She was even braver than Minato
Kishimoto is not sexist, the manga just happens to be aimed at a young boy market (Shounen), so the obvious focus on male characters is to be expected. At least he doesn't use the female character for fanservice like One Piece (Nami and Robin post timeskip) and Fairy Tail. Or have so very few female characters like Hunter x Hunter.
I don't see any Shounen manga, doing a better job in the female characters aside from Claymore which has a massive advantage by being a mostly full female cast.
