my theory is that when kamui is used, it doesnt move the conventional way: where and object moves from one point to another in a measured time and distance, rather it moves the world around kamui and anything it touches. so it would seem that its desappearing but its actually moving just a notch faster than light speed so that an after image is seen, perhaps kamui has a foward/rewind effect and each eye has one direction it responds to. well anyways kakashi used the rasengan as the pinpoint of kamui and he moved the earth around it so that it would make contact with tobi, in the "near future".....waddaya think peeps?

No I don't think so nice try tho. I've been saying for a while what it looks like Kishi will finally prove . And that's that kamui is a premature technique related to Tobi's s/t jutsu, it's obvious Tobi's seen kamui before kakashi and he's fairly familiar with it. It maybe because he uses the same jutsu or a more advanced version of it. Kakashi is just finding out how powerful his eye really is. It's possible Kakashi will learn how to materialize and dematerialize himself similar to Tobi.

Nah I don't think so. Clearly it causes an object to disappear, if it was the rewind/forward effect he would have rewinded the rasengan back to hit Tobi in the face. Whether he can change the direction sounds legit. I think he just STOPS TIME with kumui. Notice in the manga Naruto's hand with rasengan was just passing through Tobi. Then Kamui, next once Tobi has passed through Naruto, bam. It's like Kamui keeps the object in place for w/e lenth of time then he (kakashi) releases the tech.
