After eating the fruit Kaguya gained immense power, but she soon realised the tree itself had chakra so she absorbed it, scared someone else will take it. The Tree Spirit known as the 10 tails got angry because of her greed. As a result Kaguya underestimated the 10 tails anger and it changed her.
Her two children knowing what has happened had to make a difficult choice to stop their mother rampage, so they sealed her. After sealing their mother and separating the 10 tails away from her the two brother had to redeem themselves because of what their mother did, so they followed a path to peace and teaching the world a better way to live without fear.
