There was a Moon.

The Earth's moon was always there. That was how she used IT.

The moon Hagaromo created to seal the Juubi was located in another dimension.

The earth doesn't have a gapping hole inside it, so it's Moon couldn't have been from CT.

No, she just cast it on individual people. Casting it on the moon was BZ's idea for reviving her.

She had a moon in the dimension she previously resided in, but during her battle with her sons, they were also taken to another empty dimension where there was no moon and defeated her there. She was then sealed in the new moon in the new dimension, which is actually the current dimension. That's why other dimensions had castles, because she already resided in them.

Oh, and Hamura and Hagaromo brought some chicks to populate the empty Earth Adam Eve and Steve style

It is possible that the moon Kaguya used was destroyed, added on to, or warped to a different dimension. That is assuming she used a moon at all (nothing really says you have to use the moon). Also making a hole like that invisible would be pretty easy for someone like the sage and could just create more land or fill it with water and make an ocean.

There are many possibilities here. Many of which make perfect sense. Just choose the one you like if it's never explained.

Easy, Sage lied. He didn't make the moon. He killed his own brother. IT was his plan. He's a power tripping egomaniac. Look at him when Naruto meets him, like some sociopath finding the right mask to wear to talk to Naruto. Seriously, this guy is evil as balls. Then dat smile. Um, yeah.

I said something similar earlier in my theory. I think there's a 50% chance that he's evil.

Well, I think she created a Giant Omnyoudon ball like she did when she was forming a new demension and reflected it off of that.

Strange how some people are mistaking this for a plothole thread when he is specifically countering the plothole that others have established....

However, op, how do you explain the Gedo Mazou then? Madara stated it was summoned from the moon. Knowing full well that Madara had no knowledge of Kaguya's dimensions, how did he summon the Gedo? The Gedo Mazou as we know it was locked into Earth's moon, meaning the Moon the sage created and sealed the Gedo in was in fact the moon on Earth.

It was never stated Infinite Tsukuyomi needed the moon. Madara's Project Tsuki no Me just used the moon as a way of trapping everyone at once.

The moon was only used so that it could trap everyone at once. From hagoromo's explanation, she trapped some people, not everyone

that's like not even picking a side....50/50

She didn't cast Mugen Tsukuyomi on everyone at once just groups of people

there are no plot holes in Naruto...just things you can't comprehend.
