[Discussion] How is the HxH 1999 better than the HxH 2011?

I see people on yt or even here (rarely) that say the HxH 1999 anime is better than the 2011 adaptation. How? I've watched the HxH 1999 dubbed anime (Chrollo vs Zeno/Silva fight & Gon vs Hisoka) & it was enjoyable but it wasn't better than the 2011 anime. I'm not even just talking about animation, the 2011 version was just much better. Is it nostalgia that makes people prefer the 1999 anime over the 2011 anime?

Yeah, I don't know. I can understand the whole Kite backstory and how it was done better in the 1999. Madhouse did too well with the 2011 version, though.

Yes it is nostalgia. I have seen many of those old fanboys that talk shit and flame the new version for nothing.
I don't understand why they complain, when the 2011 has done everything right and improved in every way.

Watch the 2011 anime, they only "skipped" one scene from the manga & it's not big of a deal. The 2011 anime has no fillers, it only has like 2 episodes that have a recap that cover like half the episode I think. 2011 is really good so I say stick with that & it does follow the story properly.

Isn't it the greatest anime? :O Lol I guess most people, including myself see the HxH 2011 anime as the greatest anime since it proved upon the manga so much & most people watch the Big 3 animes like OP/Bleach/Naruto and compared to that, the HxH 2011 anime is a masterpiece.

Since i watched Both 1999 and 2011 I gotto say 2011 is better.... 1999 had many useless filler and the dumbest Gon vs Illumi fight ever, literally making Illumi look weaker, anyway the 2011 sticks closely to the manga thats why i like it ~_~.. downside is they dint get to show Biscuit's abilities.. I also love Zoldyck music in this version and mainly music

No bro, he's right. I've watched 65 anime's in total including Brotherhood and DBZ, Hunter x Hunter sh*ts on them. Cowboy Bebob is overhyped, I think it's you that needs to "expand" which is the right word btw, not "express" your horizons.
