Medical Nin's are very important in a platoon and She happens to be one of the best.

She was also healing half the shinobi alliance when Obito and madara were dropping noobs 1 by 1.

Sakura with her Yin release even rivals most of the top female ninjas there is which is quite a feat for a her.

I agree people only do that because of the way Sakura treats naruto and her thing with Sasuke. Yeah I'll admit she's delusional when it comes to sasuke.
