How could people fail to notice it when he fought against Hashirama? And to think he even had Kyubi also and he even said that if they fight, the entire map could be rearranged.

So i really wonder how Madara and Hashirama managed to fight without that anyone notice?

I say that coz Tsunade is surprised to see that Susanoo. Onoki also. That means that no one knew Madaras real power?
We are even talking about a legend. Some people could have done some research about him and Hashirama. People who lived and saw what was happening at that time could have tell it to the next generation and so on, but no.

No I mean Madara probably requested to fight Hashirama 1 on 1 (that's what he would want) and Hashirama complied to keep him away from Konoha. He would secretly escape to where the Final Valley would take place. I mean unless the sound can travel days worth of traveling than I wouldn't say so O.O
