Aside from the 2 paragraphs above me(The Paradox), the reasons Sasuke takes the abusive blame are:
1.) Sasuke is a male, he is most likely to take the blame of being abusive
2.) Because he comes across as a jerk, ******* you name it, it's easier for someone with traits like that associate more negative traits rather than sympathise the fact he was defending himself during the Kage Summit arc.
3.) He is very blunt and whenever he expresses his thoughts on Sakura it cuts through like scissors to papers.

Sakura ended up with Sasuke over no other factor than her ending up being the CLOSEST (not necessarily close per say)
to Sasuke out of any girl in Konoha. Had Ino ended up on Team 7, SasuIno would be canon right now. That's how bloody superficial, contrived, and meaningless Sakura's feelings are, pathetic when you consider that's all her character ever was or ever will be.

Pretty much true.

It's hard to symapthise with Sasuke on this situation in regards to him hurting Sakura physically or mentally, because in most of their interactions, he clearly just doesn't give a rat's ass about her. But Sakura keeps trying to win him back.

Funny thing is, after Naruto ended, Kishimoto said that Sasuke and Sakura could SPLIT APART and that the relationship wasn't set in stone, meaning he was in fact potentially thinking of indeed making Salad an SK kid. Agree, Salad being an SS kid just craps on her own character, Sasuke's, and Sakura's. Would have been infinitely better if she was a SasuKarin clone made by Orochimaru.

With Sasuke, as you said, him being with any woman is super OOC, especially Sakura of all people. Any bond he would have with any woman would be nothing more than to produce an heir. It's sad, but that's just how Sasuke's character is.

With Sakura, we could have had her finally having a legitimate bond that has some semblance of depth, unlike her bonds with Naruto/Sasuke, which we haven't seen since Ino. Sakura finding and adopting this test-tube child and raising her with love as her own child could have been so good. But no, instead Salad is made to be the duct tape that holds the crappy SS ship afloat.

With Salad, like Sakura, it would have been a great bond. Gaiden's whole message was bonds beyond blood, how Salad should still cherish Sakura as her mother even if they aren't blood related due to how much care and love Sakura raised Salad with. Her being an SK clone would have done just that. Also, it'd help tie her more to her team mates, being part Uzumaki like Bolt and an artificial human like Mitsuki, not to mention the benefits to MS Uzumaki DNA would have. Her Uzumaki lineage could even be used to further develop the Uzumaki clan in terms of powers, since Bolt is clearly going for his Hyuga side instead. But, again, for the sake of that trashy ship, her background and any potential for a new, unique movest combining Uchiha/Uzumaki techs is gone, and instead we're left with the overly-used Sharingan and boring AF CES. :lol

Gotta love how SS ruins everyone involved, even Salad. Any shred of interest I had in her was annihilated with Gaiden's themes collapsing on themselves and her being nothing more than the result of a one-night stand as opposed to the more interesting adopted artificial human route, and this was furthered with her gushing over Bolt. She literally has no potential at the moment for any unique character development or powers beyond Mangekyo Ex machina abilities.

Nah, having a girl as the product of all 3 of the original cast is great, she takes all the (little) spirit of her mother and becomes what Sakura should've been in the first place.

Karin as Sarada's mum would've made Gaiden a looot more interesting but moreso as a look at Sasuke and how human he's become. Did he pick lineage that would grant his children good genes (Uzumaki/Senju) or someone that meant something to him personally?
