[Theory] How injecting Hashirama DNA works.

Madara, Sasuke, and Obito all have one thing in common, they accepted the DNA when on the verge of death.

Think about it, if that weren't the case, then why didn't Kabuto inject it into himself?

Orochimaru could have added it to himself but decided on Yamato and Danzo instead. This leaves me to believe that one of the conditions of accepting the DNA is to be near death. Perhaps that's what Yamato and Danzo experienced.

Too bad no actual explanations were given for their cases.

An alternative is that it might be different for Yamato and Danzo since they are not Uchiha.

If this is the case, then perhaps Danzo and Yamato are closely related to the Senju so they can bypass this near death requirement.


There might be other conditions as well.

No, I believe that it isn't a requirement for the person to be injected with the cells to be near death. But, it may be the reason why the injections were successful.

Yamato was injected with it when he was a child and was monitered by Orochimaru. I think Danzo lost his arm and was then injected with it, he had to keep it under control with his chakra, that's why it almost killed him when he was fighting Sasuke and had to remove it.I think Yamato was lucky not to die and Danzo was skilled enough just to keep it under control. The reason the uchiha knew what it would do to them is because the sage left them the uchiha tablet explaining all that. Kabuto also knew that by reading the tablet somehow and that's why he injected Sasuke with it.

The idea is nice, but I think its wrong. Yamato was experimented on by Orochimaru and he most likely tried several ways to contain the DNA inside someone's body. Furthermore, he most likely succeed in doing that as Danzo was able to gain that same power, but not to the same degree. As far as we know, Yamato doesn't have a face of Hashirama on him. Meaning that somehow, he is special. Danzo also wasn't able to preform a controlled version of Mokuton and furthermore he was only able to preform it from his shoulder where the face was located. Another thing to note is that Danzo's arm wasn't his own, but another arm. I say this because of the skin difference, its possible that its a Zetsu Arm but if it was then it wouldn't be so dark. Frankly, we don't know how Orochimaru did it, but he created two users of Mokuton.
