No it's not, it has a lesson to be learn and you do not see it you will repeat same mistake over and over again and again.

yeah it shows how naruto should have grown to control the kyuubi but still it's insignificant....

when naruto learns to suppress his evil side he will learn to suppress the kyuubi's mind. naruto will be able to ignore the kyuubi's thoughts of murder and be able to take control of its powers.
eventually the kyuubi will grow tired of being used and will want to help naruto on his own, that's when naruto will be able to communicate with the kyuubi and tell him whats good.

I wouldn't say useless. Look at what killer bee just did. He excepted an appology of someone who just tryed to kill him. Evil Naruto is resentment he keeps. Bee has no resentment he excepts everything. In stead of physically fighting the evilness in his heart which will only make it stronger, except the things he is saying he will always have evil intentions and will always get angry. Looking back Bee has never shown anger or agression like him brother he is the opposite.
Actually completing this training is what he needs. If he wants to change the chain of hatrid this is a good time to start. You can't stop hate until you cut it off from your own heart. If he can stop the kyuubi's evilness than he can definatly stop Sasuke's
Also I wonder after naruto master the kyuubi and they are like Bee and hachibi could Naruto release the cage seal and let him out of the cage. The kyuubi couldn't do anything Naruto controls his will and chakra. The cage makes it so the kyuubi can't consume Naruto but if Naruto controls the kyuubi then it can't do that anymore. It would be nice to see Naruto on the kyuubi's nose like what Bee does.
