I mean what's going on in the mind of this new writer .It was stated that Naruto become strongest how can a guy like kawaki beat him and only Boruto is left does this means he also surpass Naruto

In all fairness it's not hard to match naruto maybe kawaki suppressed his borrowed powers without them Naruto's chakra and abilities fall to iruka level and his iq to that of a 12 year old. So not really hard to match or beat Naruto without plot shield.

There is no proof of Naruto even being dead yet to start calling the writer a hack. Naruto could easily be captured, in another dimension, also being fought and Kawaki could easily be taunting, being dramatic or talking on somebody else's behalf.

Boruto wasn't even scared of Kawaki so him being on Naruto and Sasuke's level is incredibly unlikely.

It's just a drawing author could give boruto and Kawaki any powers he wants. Plus there's a time skip so boruto reacting badly to Ottosukis powers at age 11 is irrelevant. Manga is full of asspull power ups and the tats could be another one
