Are his genjutsu skill on par with itachi or not even close?its hard to judge , because he does not use genjutsu much, but he did control the Kurama as a teenager.

Well, he did control a perfect Jinchūriki with his illusion - we all know that by housing a compliant Bijū one can easily dispel Genjutsu. I can only imagine that Shodai's DNA enhanced Obito's Mangekyō in terms of both strength and longevity.

He is one of the best as he was able to control Yagura the 4th Mizukage and three tails jinchuriki, plus controlled Kurama at the age of 14 or 15 and he was able to force Konan to tell him were Nagato's body was.

Yet to be clarified what genjutsu he used. However i have a problem with the term perfect jinchurcki when Yagura is concerned. Manga said he had control of his bijuu, however that isn't a perfect jinchrucki. Yagura could very well be in a similar category as km naruto, who had control of his bijuu but was never a perfect jinchrucki until BM.

Anyway yes, Tobi's genjutsu feats is obviously up there

He has the best Genjutsu Feats, Controlled the Kyuubi with a 3T Sharingan, Controlled a Perfect Jin, Forced Konan into giving up the location of Nagatos body no to mention he kept Danzo's men under Genjutsu for like a 100 chapters lol

Yet to be clarified although it has been portrayed as some form of ocular jutsu. Also, the manga said that Yagura was one of the quartet who could be said to have true control over a Bijū [ ].

I agree he had control over his bijuu however im disputing whether he had the same relationship as bee and the hachibi and recently naruto and kurama. He could very well have had control over the bijuu however because he didn't have a relationship with his bijuu he couldn't utilise the bijuu dama/Transform into his full bijuu state, etc. Think he was in the category of km naruto control rather than bee/bm control

Kurama said only Bee and the Hachibi were bestfriends mean perfect Jinchuriki, so Obito probably just used a regular Genjutsu on him.

His abilities were singled out in the same fashion as Bee's; the two were part of the same phrase. Anyhow, there must have been some sort of relationship between Bijū and host for true control to have been touted. Simply relying on the Sanbi for chakra (like KM Naruto) is hardly the type of 'control' that was mentioned alongside Bee. To control is to influence another being's behaviour, and for true control this relationship must've been somewhat two-way, so I highly doubt that Yagura's position can be likened to that of KM Naruto.

Tobi may controlled the Biju from inside of Yagura, too, by putting him into a hypnosis. After all the Mangekyou Sharingan was supposed to be able to take control over a Biju, while it was never said that one Genjutsu is not reaching the Biju when it is sealed in a Jinchuriki. The feats Tobi showed, Sasuke showed, too, when putting Zetsu and a Kumogakure Ninja in a hypnosis in order to gain some informations. Controlling Kurama isn't a feat to Tobis favor, too, one who possesses the Mangekyou Sharingan can control Kurama, this is the Doujutsus specific ability and when Kurama attacked Konoha, suspicion also fell to the Uchiha clan who possessed the ability to do this.

True that the manga clearly distinguished madara/hashirama's control from yagura/bee so yes yaura has been put in the same category as bee, but that isnt to state that its because he had complete control of his bijuu, but rather he was put in the same category as bee because like bee he was also a jinchrucki whilst madara/hashirama weren't.

, [/URL]. Three scans that claim km naruto had control of kurama.

There are many definitions and one of the definition that relates to km's control is the availability of the fox's chakra without its will.

It does seem like you are right though because if that version (km naruto) is viable then i see no reason why he shouldn't call on Mito. But then again if bee/yagura were called upon then shouldv'e been aswell

Yes, Naruto had some sort of authority over the Kyūbi, however, this isn't what i'd consider to be 'true' control over the Bijū, especially considering that we witnessed Naruto's relationship with Kurama improve substantially after that. There must've be something that, at that time, was unique to Bee and Yagura only (since they were the only Jinchūriki Danzō mentioned); considering what we know/knew about the former, i'd have to conclude that if Yondaime Mizukage did have 'true' control over the Sanbi, his situation would've been more similar to Bee's than anything else - some sort of a two-way relationship between Bijū and host.
