Um it gave me trust issues, depression, anger issues, alcoholism, lack of self confidence, and chlamydia.

So it's been alright to me.

Made me procrastinate much more.

I think it's been good brain stimulation for me with GD and debates.

You already had the chlamydia.

OT: It certainly didn't make me a better person. Most of the non-Naruto threads are about atheism, why Hitler wasn't evil, why Jews are evil, why Sharia Law isn't insanity, **** the police, and why white people are racist. And the Naruto threads are all Naruto vs Sasuke or Madara solos your fav

My writing ability improved.
Introduced me to new things that shaped my current views.
I joined NB when I was pretty young and used it actively since, so I definitely think it's played a part in who I am
Met some really great people I'm glad to call my friends

An online forum shouldn't have any significant change on your life .

That's not really true. Interactions with different people are supposed to have an effect on who you are. Whether it's in person or online doesn't make a difference because, either way, it's a genuine mental connection with real people who have real views and opinions. One of the biggest points of forums, and the internet as a whole, is to broaden the possibility and opportunity of connection to people.
