hey, guys here is a theory on how the God tree may be defeated.
The god tree is the original form of the juubi.
Now what are the weaknesses of the juubi?
We know that the Juubi or atleast it's jinchuriki seems to have a special weakness against senjutsu.
But perhaps there is another weakness.
The Juubi is a tree both in a literal and non-literal sense. The reason why Obito can't use kamui is not because he lost the ability but because if he does the juubi will die. The non-literal sense of the Juubi being a tree is that it is tied to the original NV dimension. Obito knows this.
How The God tree may be defeated
The only way for the only way for the god tree to be defeated is by sending it to another dimension.
Now there is no one in the current dimension that can do that. The only person that can is Kakashi. This is the reason why kishi wants us to forget about him or think he is dead. But Kakashi lives.
Now someone can say that even if kakashi does return from Kamui world. There is no way he can kamui some thing as colossal as the god tree. even if he was given the version one cloak again.
Let us analyse how large an object kakashi can kamui depending on the chakra he has.
-Without Naruto's chakra he could kamui the gedo mazo's head.
- With Naruto's chakra he made an attempt to Kamui the Juubi but was stopped by Obito.
Now we Know that the god tree is a lot larger than even the Juubi.
This means that even with the Kyuubi cloak of both yin-yang kyuubi he won't have enough chakra to Kamui the god tree.
So then how will kakashi do it? There is still another method. Which was used by tsunade to assist oonoki on powering up his dust release against Madara's susanoo clones
If tsunade was to be replaced by Naruto and Minato. And Oonoki was to be replaced by Kakashi the technique could work given that kakashi is being constantly given chakra by both of them. Killer bee could help aswell just incase. This could be the way leading to Obito's defeat. Kakashi weakning Obito by getting rid of the Juubi and Naruto applying the finishing blow.
This is just a theory, not saying I am 100% correct but I think it could happen.
