[Theory] How Fruit gives Immortality

It seems chakra is the means for souls to be formed, maintained and transmigrate. ( when Obito's spirit came back, he was pure chakra, so was Hagaromo's when he returned)

Basically, the preservation of conciousness and life force is based off of chakra.

More specifically,

The soul is controlled by the spiritual portion of chakra while the body is maintained by the physical portion of chakra.

We can see this dichotomy in the design of the Fruit.

It has two halves: the spiritual and physical.


Now, in general, having strong life force requires both strong spiritual and physical chakra. Strong spiritual chakra ensures the spirit maintains a position within a body. But strong physical chakra ensures the body would not die easily in order to hold the spirit.



Now, Mokuton is full of strong life force. Hashirama also has tremendous chakra reserves. This is because strong life force and tremedous chakra reserves are one in the same.


This means the Shinju has a vast life force. Being the Jin can make its users regenerate from nearly any part of themselves.


Well, the Shinju focuses this life force/chakra over 1000 years into the form of a fruit.

By having too much chakra, one obtains too much life force.


That is what happened to Kaguya. She obtained too much life force.

That is why she cannot die. At a certain point, the nearly infinite spiritual chakra ensures that the soul will not leave the body and the nearly infinite physical chakra will ensure that the body is never destroyed.


I believe that the Rabbit is Kaguya's true form and cannot be destroyed, hence needs to be sealed in CT.



Let's compare this the supposed immortal, Hidan.

Hidan probably has high spirtual chakra but low physical chakra. His high spiritual chakra keeps his soul in his body but his body can't sustain much damage nor regnerate due to low physical chakra. He is not a true immortal becuase his body can be destoryed.




Conclusion:

Strong Life force= Spiritual + Physical

Chakra= Strong Life force


Fruit= nearly infinite chakra

Fruit= nearly infinite life force


After a certain level of chakra, the soul is binded to the body and the body cannot be destroyed.

Souls are immortal, I think they just need both physical(yang) and spiritual(yin) to maintain and stay in a body like you said, also what you are saying about regeneration might have already been demonstrated when Naruto healed Kakashi's eyes, Kakashi had yin part but lacked yang part which Naruto had plenty of. So he just took the yin part used his Yang chakra and formed a new eye in the world,

other then that it makes sense
