Like a year ago, my socially awkward cousin got in a fight with some jock.

The jock broke his arm in two places, and gave him a black eye. My cousin never hit him back, and still got suspended for "fighting"

OT: The best way to deal with bullies that bully physically is to kick them in the balls repeatedly after school.

No what you did was right. The bully knew what he was getting into and the risks he was taking the moment he attacked your cousin. There was no deception involved. Everything was fair and square.

But another transgressor is the school. Your cousin should call a lawyer and sue them for as much as possible. The school is basically denying your cousin his natural right to defend himself. Rights that are also protected under the constitution. Rights that every professional ethicist would agree with.
