[Discussion] How far ahead do you think kubo was planning with the the storyline?

I think that has planned from the begining that zangetsu would not be his real zanpakto but rather hollow ichigo. I think it was in chapter 40-something when zangetsu and ichigo were in inchigo's conciousness when zangetsu was manipulating reishi which is a common quincy power. That was foreshadowng i think.
Then we had all those situations when hollow ichigo was saving ichigos ass.

Most importantly though in the byuakya vs ichigo battle when byakuya seens tensa zangetsu he has said ' That move of yours is not bankai'

Obviously he planne dout the aizen plot twist. but did he plan out the final quincy arc at first? not too sure

I think Kubo planned it from the moment Yhwach [old man Zangetsu] and White [Zangetsu | Hollow Ichigo] were introduced. If you think about it, the reasons for White being his Zanpakutō are all there. There was no inconsistency to suggest otherwise.

I heard he planned the beginning and ending first in a thread a while back! But he added unexpected things due to fanservice such as Byakuya still being alive which urks me a bit still lol. Not sure if he planned to rush this arc at this pace though!

He didn't planned it from the start, otherwise he wouldn't hype Byakuya and Kenpachi that much, so that in the end these two be just average captains. He also wouldn't make Sasakibe be fodder.

He started planning Quincy arc, during Arrancar arc.
