As the newest chapter reveals:
We now know that the first person to use/attain chakra did so by eating the forbidden fruit off of the tree, and as a result her son was born with chakra already in him. However this explanation only explains how TWO people obtained chakra, not the entire world. So how did everyone get chakra? My theory is that the story of the Sage of Six Paths and the Ten Tails is still incomplete.
We now know that the Tailed beasts were merely a fraction of the chakra that the Shinju possessed and that the rest is divided among the population of the ninja world. My theory is that before the sage became the jinchuriki of the Ten Tails, he realized that even his own body would not be enough to contain the massive amount of chakra that the Ten Tails possessed, so he separated as much of the beast's chakra from it as he could and spread it across the world. It was THEN that he traveled across the land teaching the world the secrets of chakra, and as he taught them the truth about chakra, he also taught them how to assimilate the beast's disembodied chakra into their own bodies. This was actually the first fail-safe that the Sage used to prevent the Ten-Tails's revival. It was only when he was near death that he realized that his first method of preventing the beast's revival was futile, because even the fraction that he contained would be enough for the the Ten Tails to revive, and that the only way to truly stop its revival would be to separate the remainder of its chakra into smaller, separate parts. This is why he created the tailed beasts. The final fail safe was to seal its body and launch it far away from the earth, and so he created the moon.
I know this is far fetched, but I do have a little support for my theory.
First, it is true that ALL chakra that humans possess belongs to the Shinju, not just the chakra of the Tailed Beasts. This means that there has to have been a point where ALL of its chakra was taken from it, and not just the amount that was used to create the tailed beasts. This also means that since ALL chakra belongs to the Shinju, everyone's ancestors learned to absorb/assimilate chakra into themselves so that their descendants would have chakra too.
Second, although it has never been directly stated, it is (now) impossible that the Sage taught everyone how to use chakra BEFORE he defeated the Ten-Tails, because, again, all chakra belonged to it originally, and until it was defeated there were only two people with the ability to use chakra.
Third,(this is more of an idea) chakra, although not native to humans, is a natural part of the world. That is to say that it can perfectly coexist in/with nature, much like air, whether it is part of the Shinju or not. Because it is natural, it is able to exist within humans without causing them any harm. The Sage, knowing that this would be true for all humans, taught them how to assimilate/absorb it into their own bodies. Because of this, the humans were able to take this non-native power and make it theirs. Because chakra is akin to air, they were able to keep it permanently (unlike senjutsu), and because this power now belonged to them and was in their blood, their descendants were born with the same power, and so on and so forth until the current Naruto age.
Like I said, this is far fetched, but it is plausible. I would really appreciate CONSTRUCTIVE criticism and/or feedback. Please don't just say NO, please give me a reason as to why you disagree. Thanks in advance
The Ten-Tails was originally the Shinju(God Tree) and all chakra naturally belongs to it
