[Discussion] How effect are mind game abilities in bleach.

So we all know that Byakuya and Kenpachi don't respond to pain or fear or mind games.
But how would the upper captains fare against things like nodt, zommari, tsukishima, or whoever else I'm forgetting?
Also how effective would Itachi's tsukiyomi be against the captains?
Would it be effective against anyone above Byakuya and kenny's level?

It wont affect them. Shinigamis don't use chakra.

-Itachi's techs would work if he can see them. Tsukiyomi would rape any captain other than zaraki and yamamoto(they are insane in strength category).
-If tsukishima can mindfuk someone of byakuya's caliber then assume itachi?

Itachi can't use Tsukuyomi on people without chakra.

OT: Whereas most of the illusionary abilities become physical manifestations, Genjutsu is just Genjutsu. An illusion, so I'm not sure whether or not they'd be able to break out of it.

Dangit people, chakra and ki and reiatsu is all the same.
How would they do against those genjutsu type things regardless of whether they can break them?

Can't they use spells to influence the rhythm of power (chakra flow)?
That is of course if Itachi can see them.

Also it seems to me that in bleach characters' overall power decides most things, while in naruto they often need specific abilities to counterattack.

that is wrong on so many levels.
shinigami are dead ie soul reapers using reiatsu which is part of there soul power.
chakra is living power and a network system of the human body ie living body.

now you can point out that theres edo's and all but it's still completly different.

i'll also point out that even though both work offcof spiritual energy in naruto the living are using this energy and in bleach the dead are using this energy. so its worlds apart in how the two could co exist against each other.

Hypothetically i guess it should seeing as it may work similar to the way Bijuu work with their hosts, my only question is whether or not their Zanpakuto's would have to be in their physical manifestations to "disturb" the flow of their Chakra/Reiatsu.
