They've also never fought against genjutsu users, so why would they? Point stands, if his eye lids are closed, all forms of genjutsu outside of sound genjutsu become useless, since visual genjutsu needs the opponents eyes to work.
Only highly acute sensors can fight eyes closed... Toneri isn't a sensor and his arsenal revolves around being able to target which let's face it, he did pretty haphazardly with his eyes open.

Now that's a satisfying word.

Assuming the byakugan user has no intel on finger genjutsu, would he still get caught after looking at itachi's finger through the eyelids?

No need to even close the eye, just look at the feet or movement.
But a low pie genjutsu is gonna work on god power is laughable. The most solid reason for tailed beasts is that they and the eyes coming from one body, so logically eyes as brain control chakra as body.
Here we have a person who has god power and the ability to see all chakra, he should know when chakra being used for Genjutsu.

But all of this is just if the Genjutsu is strong enough to disrupt the chakra flow of Toneri, which is almost impossible since Every byakugan user have ability to expel their chakra to every chakra point within their body (which already activate when the eyes activated) and the method to counter genjutsu is quite obiviously ;)

Not with their eyes closed nope.
Where'd you get this ridiculous idea from? Their eyes can see through matter, period. There's no reason or logic in saying they can't see through their own eyelids.

I don't think so, since that requires the users eyes to be open. All visual genjutsu requires that, just as how all sound genjutsu needs the ears to be unblocked.

besides the fact it's fanfic.

Light must reach the pupils in the eyes so we can see visible objects. If they close their eyes it's the same as darkness. Byakugan is no exception to this rule.

Byakugan breaks all laws of regular human eyesight by seeing through matter like trees, bodies, and walls, not to mention having extended vision like birds and 360 degree vision, and yet you're trying use this light argument to say they can't see through their eye lids? What TF? Real life doesn't apply here, unless you can explain how they can see through trees 'n stuff but not through eye lids.

You also seem to forget that Byakugan can see in the dark... by your logic, putting your hand over the Byakugan cancels any power it might have.

1st. Never happened :bdpf:

2nd. So can sharingan. :bdpf:

3rd It's not my logic. It's science my friend. :flakez:

4th The whole notion of Byakugan seeing with their eyes closed is fanfic and not supported in anyway. :bdpf:
