Isn't Tobi jutsu really teleporting a part of your body to another dimension for a while and then teleporting it back so that it looks like intangibility. so my question is how can he survive this kind of technique ? When kakashi performed kamui on deidara's elbow it tore from his body. Even if it had been teleported back, deidaera would have lost his arm. How do you explain this ? Does this mean Tobi's body is different ?

he send part of his body to another space and then can send it back and kamui and tobi teleportation are a bit different

I think the kamui used on deidara "closed" the dimensional void, taking his arm with it. While tobi's kamui leaves the void open with part of his body in it. In other words, i think the part of his body that is "intangible" is in the void while the rest is not. Think of it like an open door. Tobi is standing in the door way. Half of his body is in one room, and half in the other, each room being a different dimension. Now kakashi sent deidara's arm to that dimension, "closing the door" so to speak, cutting his arm off from his body. As you could see, deidara's arm was not severed until the vortex closed.

This is a very good question, and an astute assesment. And to answer, i don't know. They are two different eyes(left/right) so maybe they work differently. idk

This is the best explanation.

I think that he didn't use Kamui on the entire arm. He used it on a portion of it which was probably sent to the other dimension while the rest of his hand fell off.

Like using it on the middle of his arm to rip that portion off so it was severed into two pieces.
