How does this quote fits Danzo?

In the series, Jiraiya before dying said :

"The true measure of a shinobi is not how he lives but how he dies. It's not what they do in life, but what they did before dying that proves their worth."

Danzo did treated everyone wrong, and wasn't there to save his friend Hiruzen either when Orochimaru attacked, but in the end, he did try to kill Sasuke and Obito, just so they won't hurt the village.

So does this quote makes Danzo look good or bad?

He was all for the defense of the village. Which makes him a creation of the old ninja world. From Konoha POV he is good. But from the Shinobi world he is bad, due to the fact he clung to the old ways of war.

That's if nothing good has been done in life... but in case of Danzo, his life was filled with evil doings and that covers up his positive death....
But I give him respect coz he died against someone bad...

i guess he died with honor but i dont think it excuses him from what he has done and he will remain one of my most hated characters

danzo had some bad methods..eg-killing a shinobi's emotions jst to make him stronger..placing seals on them..making contract with hanzo so that he can be the hokage..he did all those things..bt he did it all for konoha..
In simple lang..u can say he was like a spy agency of a country..they do all the nasty sh!t ..but they do it for thier country..danzo was gud..but his methods were bad
