How does Team Gai fair against Zabuza and Haku?

If Team Gai were in Team Kakashi's place what difficulty would they beat Zabuza? Or would they beat him at all?

Remember Kakashi was sort of a bad match for Zabuza so let us not underestimate him and Haku, plus Kyuubi Naruto was the one who broke the Crystal Ice Mirrors so let us not forget that is still near impossible to break through. 5 Gates Lee takes some prep time as well, so please take all of this under consideration.

I think Gai can solo both of them solo. Having Neji or Lee on the team is kinda overkill. I think tenten will be the most useless though.

We are speaking of Part 1 Gai, all we know he is almost equal to Kakashi, just without the Sharingan and large arsenal of jutsu

taijutsu is almost useless in the hidden mist .... Although Neji has the Byakuygan .. so actually this is a bad match up for them as well

Not much was shown of gai's "prowess" all we seen was like a couple of skirmishes. Zabuza's sword skills are not that amazing. All he has is mist and silent killing technique which wouldn't matter anyway. Gai can just disperse the mist with his epic tatjustu. Even if Haku does his mirror tech with Zabuza inside with Gai. They would still lose.

Same with Neji. Mist will be useless since Byakugan can see through mist. And I would think Kaiton will just rape them and the mist...

Lee also. But he might take time to figure out a way to win solo.

Tenten....welll no.

In this fight Taijustu > Anything and everything Haku or Zabuza can throw at them.

We don't know if he had that jutsu during part 1, plus ninja don't use their strongest jutsu right off the bat, you don't see Madara using PS or Killer Bee going into the tailed beast right off the bat.

I think Team Guy will win simply because Taijutsu is a bad matchup for the duo. We can assume that with Taijutsu Gai, Lee and Neji can clear the Mist or Byakugan can see through it. Lee & Neji will probably fight Haku while Tenten is with the Bridge Builder and Guy will fight Zabuza. Guy is probably one of the Worst Match-ups that you can give Zabuza so Guy will be him mid-diff. Lee and Neji will basically stall Haku from defeating the duo until Guy comes or until Haku is out of chakra and win. It would be a bloody fight that I would pay to watch

Ten ten by herself would do better against zabuza alone then in a team. In a team stuck i hidden mist her attacks she would hold back not know where her team is. But alone she could let lose Firing everywhere either forcing him out the mist or hitting him directly

They can counter every single one of their techniques

Gai himself is capable of soloing if he goes Gates mode low-mid diff

Neji and Lee could possibly go in as a duo and beat these guys themselves mid-high diff

Even Tenten's skill with ninja tools and accuracy could even counter Haku's senbon throwing skills, so even could be useful enough to take on Haku if necessary.

The mist is useless against everyone but Tenten. Gai and Rock lee can both block blows even if they can't see them, muscle memory. Neji's rotation could possibly destroy haku's kkg. If not, then his byakugan could pinpoint his location and Tenten would aim for that spot.

Mist is useless? Please go back and watch the episodes, I am now and I'm surprised at how strong Zabuza and Haku are, Sasuke and Naruto broke out because of the Kyuubi's strength, nobody on team Gai can compare to his strength other than Lee and Gai in their Gates for which takes prep time.

I'd say Neji's Rotation > than any tech Haku has to offer and will be able to stop Haku from touching him even in the Demon Ice Crystals.

Lee could be used as backup, really.


And Part I Gai has no feats really, so I guess he'll keep Zabuza waiting seeing as Zabuza takes forever to kill someone until Neji or Lee arrives.
