This is something that has been bothering me for a while.

How can lightning be used to cut through things?

I dont get how electricity can gain a phisical form and be able to cut through things better than an actual blade?

It's fiction. The explanation doesn't work in real life, but in the series, it's condensed to much that it takes a near-physical form.
Was thinking something like that too but am wondering if there is any chance this could have some real world basis.

He had to get the idea somewhere. xd

This is just pathetic
Ok...

Lightning is formed and control in 2 steps.

Nature Transformation: The user to generate lightning by increasing the high-frequency vibrations of their chakra

Shape Manipulation: It allows for piercing damage and fast movement.

To be fair, if we applied real world logic the hottest lightning bolt in an instant can reach temperatures as hot as the SURFACE of the sun. Also it's anime, the same reason how humans can fight fir days on end and not tire much

What do you think happens when lightning hits something?

It goes boom. But thats not what Im talking about here. xd

When it hits the house the house blows up from many things that are a consequence of electric overload such as fire, vibration etc.

Im asking how could electricity on its own be used to cut things to an extent, not how it could cause damage.

It works by striking things.
Oh rly? XD

Lightning did that? Wow, that must be some super lightning for it to open a hole in a building.
There'll be worse. And not super lightning either, just an average bolt.

Let's not forget that a bolt is millions of volts of electricity hitting in 1/1000th of a second. What is surprising is that people think electricity is this ethereal energy which doesn't touch or harm anything. Electricity is tangible.

The house didn't blow up, the bolt just cut through the roof and blasted it open. Just like this runway.

Just like here on this pavement.
Thats Kirin. XD

It didn't cut, it blasted its way through. But I get what you're saying.

If the lightning was condensed and pin-pointed it could be used for cutting. Huh, guess that answers it.

Sometimes it takes a while to put 2 and 2 together. xd
