okay when jiraiya trapped kisame and itachi in the stomach of the mountain toad, itachi used amaterasu to blow a hole through the wall thus escaping. shortly after this jiraya puts out the flames in the wall how is this possible.
episode 85 and issue 148 page 9

now i understand he sealed the flame but how, why and where

Fire sealing technique. Amaterasu is powerful but it is still a fire style technique. To answer the question of where did it go.....no idea, but where ever it went it probably wasn't a good outcome for them.

It's a simple fire sealing jutsu
It's fuuinjutsu it can literally do practically anything it's super complicated though

He used a fire sealing scroll.

now can someone unseal this amaterasu and use it against lets say sasuke or tobi

Well since it involved fuuinjutsu that means that whatever was sealed was sent into a time space pocket to be preserved
Its how tenten can seal a kajillion weapons and bring them out a will
Although this is a quite a bit more complicated

Yes unless it's locked by a blood seal buy think of it like a weapons scroll that u can store stuff in and then unleash whenever u feel like

Lol, the original poster was talking about the scene in the "Search for Tsunade" arc where Jiriaya actually seals amaterasu with a fire sealing scroll.

I'm not at all saying that this would work in battle (this isn't even a vs. thread), I was just saying thats how he sealed it, since amaterasu is a high level fire element technique.

The only reason why he bothered to put it out was because he wanted to study it and get rid of it
He wouldn't do it During a fight itachi and kisame had already left this isn't a jiraiya vs itachi what if they met fight
This is about one that had already finished

I don't understand a word shogun973 has said so far but yeah he sealed the flames to do research on it some other time, he never put the flames out. The flames might still be burning somewhere else and Jiraiya could probably unseal it unless someone chooses to put out the flames, like when Sasuke puts out his own amaterasu. The flames also stop once they have burnt out whatever they were used on so they would go out eventually shogunnumber guy. This is a technique used from really early on in the anime and we haven't seen it happen again so don't worry about it.

Anyone good enough with fuuinjutsu it's hardly ever used much besides the basic stuff like explosive tags and weapons scroll but it could be known if anyone really tried

I would laugh so hard if Ten-Ten unsealed it from one of her scrolls. I can see it now

* Ten-Ten: Troll style - borrowed amaterasu
