How does Hasirama die in a war?

I mean did he slip and fall on a Kunai or something? With the abilities he has who would could have killed him? Spamming a forest for miles. If anyone should have survived a war it's him. My guess is that another Kage killed him, it couldn't have been anything else.

Also Tobirama had a lame death. 20 skilled jonins when the third Raikage took on 10,000 ninjas? He had to have been out of chakra. I really wish Kishi would elaborate on everything at the end of the story.

tobirama died bcz he was fighting the bounty hunters in the desert.
every time he uses water jutsu is evaporates b4 it reaches the enemy.
this happened until he ran out of chakra.

after kakazu battle he became tired so he rested then mito snuck in to his room and...jk xd probably old age but tobirama had to stay there and tank the enemy's jutsus or else they would have went after his squad MY THEORY is that kin and gin died bcuz tobi summoned edo hashirama to help him fight and once the soldiers were all dead he vanished
