How does Hashirama died?

By seeing oro edo tensai we can be sure he died young and main question is how does he died?


1.We haven't seen any ninja who are greater than madara or hashi so who else could beat them at there time ?

2.May be another plot hole which kishi never thought of in part 1st of naruto ??

Well this is my theory:

He took permanent damage against Madara and that's why weakened. Two things are noted in the Databook

1) He gave the tittle of Hokage to his younger brother, Tobirama.
2) He died during First Great Ninja War.

So Tobirama must have been stronger than Hashirama at that moment, but Hashi still fought in the 1st Ninja War, but it's unknown who kiled him.

They were surrounded then by so many enemies then he told tobirama to take the senjus and leave and he will give them time to escape. He sacrificed himself for his younger brother. hmm but as i stated we dont even know one ninja from that generation who can even stand a chance against hashirama soo i dont think he will die by someone
