How Does Edo Tensei work?

I just don't get why the edo tensei of madara was resurrected in his prime Body. Why did't Hanzo or the puppet granny form the sand were resurrected in their prime bodies? We all know now that madara died in a very old body so you cant tell me that he died young and thats why his edo tensei is like that. So my question is why the huge difference in age between the resurrected bodies of the edo tensei. ( i kow there is a plot involved but i think is messed up )

If someone has an argument or an answer to this this could be a great moment.

You most likely come back at whatever age the dna was when taken (sasori is a whole other argument however as would be the topic of shisui). Because madara lived the remainder of his life after his battle with hashirama in his cave thing (probably) the only dna available was when he was in his prime anyway.

kabuto said he made his edo very special and made his body past his prime. probably just used his surgery skills to make him look young

You need dna, and dead bodies to actually perform it. Kabuto wanted Madara to be his trump card so made him even stronger by giving him buffs like being in his prime, wood release, etc.

The whole 'when you get the DNA' is wrong. Edo Tensei resurrects the person as they were when they died. Kabuto said he made Madara's Edo special, reverting him back to his prime. Idk how, but possible manipulating Hashi's DNA in some way.

Kabuto said that he completed Madara past his prime. That means that Kabuto resurrected Madara in his younger body with abilities he gained while older, like Rinnegan and Mokuton.
